This Summer, THE HEAT WILL BREAK with Inspire Pro’s second annual CLASH AT THE BASH WRESTLING EXTRAVAGANZA! So, break out the shades and zinc up for the most action-packed beach party this side of the Rio Grande! Here’s a run down of the exciting card we have planned for June 21st. LET’S GET EPIC!
“Bleeding Heart” Davey Vega vs. “Kid Gorgeous” Donovan Danhausen
At IN THEIR BLOOD II, many say the match that stole the show had to have been the Fatal Four Way encounter for the J-Crown Championship, and we would be hard pressed to disagree. One man who made a huge impression by way of this contest was the debuting “Kid Gorgeous” Donovan Danhausen. A relative unknown in the state of Texas, Danhausen made sure the attendees in The Marchesa would not forget his name, as well as management who had their eyes on this matchup. Donovan made such an impression that Inspire Pro brass has decided Donovan should return sooner rather than later, and has scheduled him for a whole new challenge in “Bleeding Heart” Davey Vega. A close compatriot of the Inspire Pro Champion Andy Dalton, Vega has always delivered in high profile contests in Inspire Pro, but has recently done so in a much more vicious & conniving manner. While many question his integrity, it seems as though Davey Vega is more determined than ever. Which of these two talented athletes emerge victorious in this one? You do not want to miss this sure-to-be barnburner at CLASH AT THE BASH II.
SIX MAN TAG TEAM MATCH: The Orphans (Sky De Lacrimosa, Zac & DG Taylor) vs. The Great Depression, The Red Scare & The Hollywood Strangler
The last we would see of The Great Depression alongside The Orphans was at PHENOMENON, when a mysterious woman who we have seen on previous Inspire Pro events appeared at ringside during Sky De Lacrimosa’s match with Thomas Munos. She would proceed to plant quite a passionate kiss on The Red Scare, eventually convincing The Red Scare and The Great Depression to leave the building with her. But it seems as if wherever this woman goes, The Hollywood Strangler is not far behind, as he would attack Thomas Munos following his victory. With the loss of their most powerful and dangerous, The Orphans are none too pleased with these events and have agreed to team at CLASH AT THE BASH II to face the trio of The Great Depression, The Red Scare and The Hollywood Strangler. With so many factors and unpredictable individuals, who knows what to expect?
“Pro Wrestlings Bride Of Frankenstein” Angelus Layne & “The Mountain” Vanessa Kraven vs. Delilah Doom & “The Buzzsaw Of The XX Division” Jessica James
Ever since the events of their first encounter at UNDENIABLE, Angelus Layne has spent her tenure in Inspire Pro Wrestling trying to make the life of Delilah Doom a living hell, the ultimate act being at IN THEIR BLOOD II when she dislocated the shoulder of Doom in a vicious attack prior to Delilah’s scheduled XX Division Championship match. Delilah would go on later in the night to team with Joey Ryan to face Layne and Tim Storm, only to further re-aggravate the injury at the hand of “Pro Wrestlings Bride Of Frankenstein”. As reported earlier this week, a confrontation occurred between The New Movement’s Chris Trew.biz & Layne with the two organizing a tag team encounter for June 21st at CLASH AT THE BASH II. As promised Layne has enlisted the services of Montreal, Quebec’s own “The Mountain” Vanessa Kraven, only for Trew to respond by revealing Delilah’s partner to be none other than “The Buzzsaw of the XX Division” Jessica James. This is all too appropriate, as James was the woman brave enough to face The Mountain back at February’s UNDENIABLE. Will James be able to topple her titanic opponent, or will Kraven once again put Jessica through the mat? Can Delilah Doom keep coming back from injury and stand up to Angelus, or will Layne make good on her promise to break Doom and retire her from pro wrestling? No matter what, this XX-Division tag team showdown is another reason why CLASH AT THE BASH II is the can’t-miss event of the summer.
SIX MAN TAG TEAM MATCH: “One Man” Mike Dell, “Untouchable” Alex Reigns & Moonshine Mantell vs. The World Class Syndicate (“The Texas Lion” Carson & “The Pride Of Professional Wrestling” Barrett Brown) & A Mystery Partner
Things have truly escalated as of late when it comes to Mike Dell, Alex Reigns, Moonshine Mantell and The World Class Syndicate’s Carson and Barrett Brown. Ever since Alex Reigns reasserted himself to stick it to his former stablemate and recent replacement, Carson and Barrett haven’t been able to get on the right track and Alex has seemed to always find a way to have the upper hand. Whether it was the shocking return of “One Man” Mike Dell who stood by Reigns back at PHENOMENON or the even more shocking betrayal by Moonshine Mantell, reuniting with his Reign Or Shine tag team partner, Alex Reigns is most definitely in the driver seat. And after the tensions that boiled over at IN THEIR BLOOD II between Dell & Brown, Inspire Pro management has decided this needs to be settled. At CLASH AT THE BASH II, Dell, Reigns and Mantell go into battle against Carson, Barrett and a mystery tag team partner. Who can The World Class Syndicate find to aid them in this war? Could this be their last nail in the coffin? This Six Man Tag Team Match is sure to be intense.
“The Bionic Beast” Franco D’Angelo vs. “The Wrestling Goddess” Athena
Questions were swirling for months upon months concerning the events that concluded PHENOMENON, all with the general subject being Franco D’Angelo and his involvement in the end of Matthew Palmer’s Inspire Pro career. Franco would attempt to address his actions at IN THEIR BLOOD II, telling the fans in attendance that there is no one who wishes Matthew Palmer could be competing in an Inspire Pro ring more than him. Taking umbrage to such a statement, “The Wrestling Goddess” Athena would make her presence felt, forcing her opinion on the situation being that Franco wanted Palmer out of the picture. Heated words were exchanged leading to the unintimiated Athena issues a challenge to Franco for CLASH AT THE BASH II. Not only did Franco accept, but he made a stern promise to send Athena out of Inspire Pro and onto the couch at home just like Matthew Palmer. Many predict this match could very well steal the show. But what comes after the dust settles? This is just one of the incredible matches that makes Inspire’s next event must-see.
INSPIRE PRO XX DIVISION CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH: Veda Scott (c) vs. Leva Bates
“Destination America superstar” Veda Scott shocked the world at IN THEIR BLOOD II when she legally substituted herself for an injured Delilah Doom in the XX-Division Championship tournament finals and walked away the winner. Ran away, technically. After a year of legal troubles and red tape, Inspire Pro became worried that after a year of trying to name a champion, we’d never again see the champion we named. At February’s UNDENIABLE, Barbi Hayden defeated Leva Bates by a suspiciously-counted count-out to become #1 contender for the XX-Division Championship. At March’s PHENOMENON, Hayden’s actions were made clear: she’d been bribing Inspire Pro referees to help her steal victories. Faced with these realities, we had no choice but to suspend Hayden, and see her #1 contendership retroactively awarded to Bates. With a #1 contender vs. champion match guaranteed for June 21st’s CLASH AT THE BASH II, Veda Scott has no legal choice but to return to Austin and face her cosplaying, fan-favorite challenger. If Bates can dethrone the new champion in her first defense, perhaps the belt will stay in Texas and be defended with honor. If not … who knows?
Ray “Death” Rowe vs. “The American Psycho” Lance Hoyt
Rather than threaten the life of our ring announcer Brandon Stroud as he has become one to do, “The American Psycho” Lance Hoyt spent last Sunday in the background doing everything he could to get under the skin of Stroud from a distance. But, Hoyt’s time spent at IN THEIR BLOOD II wasn’t just spent behind the commentary table causing havoc. Still infuriated with his count-out loss to Ricky Starks back at PHENOMENON, Hoyt would attempt to get involved in Ricky’s Number One Contenders match against Ray “Death” Rowe, only to accidentally boot Rowe after a quick distraction by Brandon Stroud. That boot would shift the tides enough for Ricky to eventually pick up the win, leading to Rowe and Hoyt getting into a war of words that nearly broke down. However, both men will have the chance to let out their aggressions on one another at CLASH AT THE BASH II. Two of the biggest behemoths in the country will duke it out in less than three weeks. Be prepared as Ray Rowe versus Lance Hoyt may just tear the roof off of The Marchesa Hall & Theatre.
FIRST TIME EVER FATAL FOUR WAY MATCH: JoJo Bravo vs. Teddy Hart vs. Cherry Ramońs vs. El Mariachi Loco
As aforementioned, the Fatal Four Way J-Crown match at IN THEIR BLOOD II was the match that many say stole the show. And with that opinion being the great majority expressed by the Inspire Pro faithful, Inspire Pro management has decided to see if lightning can strike twice by compiling another Fatal Four Way full of unique Junior Heavyweight competitors. The first is the ever outspoken JoJo Bravo, who has developed a vicious new mean streak and revealed at IN THEIR BLOOD II to be aligned with Thomas Shire and Nigel Rabid. Is this just the start for the once beloved “Heaviest Sumo In The Land”? Next, we have Cherry Ramons of The New Movement, a skilled competitor in many facets, but a man who hasn’t found the greatest of success in recent months. Could a win in this matchup be just what Cherry needs? Then, there is the returning Teddy Hart, a man known world round for his innovative style coupled with his unique aura. One thing is for sure when it comes to Teddy Hart is that you never know what to expect. And rounding out this lineup is a debuting competitor in Inspire Pro Wrestling, none other than Lucha Underground star El Mariachi Loco. The man who works for tips looks to bring his lucha libre influence and his uncanny dancing ability to Austin, Texas and make a huge impression off the bat. Considering the personalities involved, this match may just defy the parameters of professional wrestling as we know it!
INSPIRE PRO CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH: “Dirty” Andy Dalton (c) vs. “Just” Steve’O Reno
After expelling Matthew Palmer from Inspire Pro competition and defeating ACH this past month, the Inspire Pro Champion “Dirty” Andy Dalton has been riding a major high. Dalton was so pleased with recent events that he claimed following his latest successful defense that he was the best champion in Inspire Pro and in the state. Unfortunately, a bold statement such as this prompted one man who would have an equally worthy claim of being called the best champion in Inspire Pro to the ring, the one and only Steve’O Reno. It is clear as day to those that have followed Steve’s journey how much he has elevated the J-Crown Championship with his memorable and show stealing defenses. Whether against the likes of Davey Vega, Chikara Pro’s Mr. Touchdown, “Jiggle-O” James Johnson, Donovan Danhausen or Ricochet, Steve’O Reno has put his all into every challenge, making him one of the most adored in the Inspire Pro ranks. But, before the J-Crown was captured by Steve’O, he earned the Fungressional Medal Of Honor back at Fun Fun Fun Fest, a prize that earned him a shot at any championship when he pleased. And at IN THEIR BLOOD 2, Steve made his intentions known that he would use the medal for an opportunity at the Inspire Pro Championship at CLASH AT THE BASH II. Can Steve’O Reno do what no man has done for the last 10 months, and that is unseat the reign of “Dirty” Andy Dalton? Or will Dalton leave this spectacular event still with the gold around his waist? Be there June 21st to find out.
With a lineup like that, this is an event you cannot, and should not miss! CLASH AT THE BASH 2 is June 21st at The Marchesa Hall & Theatre (6226 Middle Fiskville Road) in Austin, Texas.
